Lupe dropped this free mixtape at midnight just in time for Thanksgiving. He originally took an artistic approach to this mixtape and released it as one long ass mp3 and called it cassette style. Interesting. I found the chopped up version and posted the link below for your convenience.
Another free mixtape called Friend of the People is set to drop for Christmas…
1. Intro
2. The National Anthem
3. All The Way Turnt Up
4. Fireman
5. Interlude
6. Angels
7. So Ghetto
8. Say Something
9. Thank You
10. The One
11. Popular Demand
12. Summit On The Summit (HP TV Commercial)

50 Cent is trying to go against Jay-Z but he’s not paying attention to Fifty or Beanie Sigel. I think the AMAs were a glimpse that Jay is cracking a little from the pressure. Damn Jay can we get a response?

Great interview by Tavis Smiley. 50 talks in detail about his personal life and reflects on it. He provides very deep observations and opinions. I love how Tavis always asks the right questions without being too forceful. Definitely one of the best interviewers out there…

In January, Fabolous and his crew were accused of taking a Lambo after the valet service handed them the wrong keys. This morning authorities pressed him to give up the names to which he had this to say:

Coincidentally, this video also dropped today. Talk about bad timing. D-d-damnn… Fuck it, they say any publicity is good publicity so enjoy the video…

This will be the last thing I publish on DaLeak.com about Diddy.
I just received a notification from the RIAA which is a trade group that represents the US recording industry. They stated that I was offering a file, in an interactive streaming format, of a sound recording by the artist known as Diddy and requested its removal.
First of all, the file in question was not made available for download; it was streamed only to be listened to alongside a promotion of Diddy’s upcoming album and group. It gave full credit to Diddy and every artist involved. Second, why should I be threatened for promoting his music?
The US recording industry needs to understand that things are changing. Music has gotten to the point where the quality is so low that listeners demand to hear the track first before they buy that album or attend that concert. Fans will no longer buy an album blindly because there is no guarantee that the quality will be there.
As a hip hop fan and blogger, my intent at DaLeak.com is not to illegally mass distribute music but to stream and share what I believe is great music and news with my readers. I believe that this bottom-up marketing approach is how you weed out the bad music and promote great music within hip hop and other genres. The RIAA, Diddy, and the more traditional parts of the recording industry need to understand this and work more closely with bloggers and the new media soon or they will not survive.
