Corinne Bailey Rae is back from her 2006 hiatus with another hit based on her relationship. I love this artist. She spoke to the Observer about the creation of this song and had this to say:
It was written literally just after me and Jason had this massive disagreement, a big argument, a bad one. Almost as he was leaving the room, I just sat down and wrote it. It’s just about how I felt about him at that time. Even right in the middle of the worst times, I remember thinking that I would choose this exact life again, that I would do it all again. It was me saying, I’m not wishing myself out of this situation. I’m 100% committed to this person. I don’t have any regrets about this relationship even though there are all these difficult times.
Bonus: This is her 2006 breakthrough hit Like A Star. This is what real music sounds like.
Update: I just found out that Corinne’s husband died last year from a heroin overdose. She was with him throughout the entire process making these songs that much more powerful…

The whole Young Money football team jumped on this introductory track. I like Gudda Gudda, Nicki Minaj, Drake, and Lil Wayne of course. At the Blood Bank making deposits til I fuckin faint… We Are Young Money album dropping next week…
Bonus: Young Money – Pass Me the Dutch. Drake killed his verse at the end.
Here’s 50 Cent on my favorite show. He speaks on the Tiger Woods drama that everyone seems to be stuck on but that’s not why I chose this clip. The reason that I am sharing this with you is because 50 says that if he had the opportunity to trade his street cred for a degree–he would. I think that was an amazing statement to make and a great message to send to the younger generation. Nice job Curtis.

Snoop Doggy Dogg, the family man. I think it’s amazing that Snoop is going the extra mile to make a positive influence in his children’s life. A coach, a father, husband, and a rap icon, that’s huge!

Goddamn girl… That Rihanna reign just won’t let up…
This track is definitely going to enrage a lot of people but I don’t care. It was well written from one of the best artists here and came from the heart. Prepare to be offended. Great song…
Correction: this is an old song but its still good.
